Anderson’s Nutrition came to life in owner Nicole Goodrich’s childhood, where she found her love of science. This long relationship Goodrich has spent nearly all her life in was activated by her grandfather. Dr. George Anderson, MD would always talk about the body and how it worked, which fascinated his granddaughter so much she wanted to follow in his footsteps and become a doctor.
When she was a teenager, Goodrich’s brother was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. The diagnosis affected the entire family, who rallied around him to learn about effective management. Goodrich took a particular interest, amazed at how the foods we eat impact our bodies, whether that impact is positive or negative. A product of her upbringing, Goodrich worked diligently throughout college to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
A Phoenix native, Goodrich, her husband, and their two young children moved to Chester County in 2017. Her compassion for others and dedication to her business has her flying back to Arizona frequently to manage the Anderson’s Nutrition offices there.

Barriers, Misconceptions, Insurance, Oh My!
We’ve all heard it before. Eat this, don’t eat this, fat free, low sugar! Thankfully, Anderson’s Nutrition is here to guide their clients through a process that is usually highly misinformed. When it comes to your health, you want an expert in your corner. Not someone trying to make a quick buck.
When asked what the biggest misconception about nutrition and dieting is, Goodrich said, “Most people feel that carbs should be eliminated in order to lose weight. However, the body thrives off of carbs as the primary fuel source. The body likes a happy balance and the right amount of carbs.”
A very real, and unfortunate, barrier to healthy eating and clean living are time and money.
“Once someone has the education on what to do, implementing is the hardest part.” Goodrich said. “It takes time to meal prep. Money to purchase fruits and vegetables. Organic and cleaner foods tend to be more expensive and not available at all grocery stores.”
Anderson’s Nutrition accepts medical insurance for most services and offers discounts for non-covered patients. As someone who not only understands the science behind nutrition, but also the human experience, this initiative is important to Goodrich. “We have several programs that are heavily discounted.”
At its core, Anderson’s Nutrition seeks to drive their mission forward through compassion, integrity, evidence-based practice, and empowerment.
“As a Registered Dietitian, I believe adequate nutrition and reliable information are essential because they form the foundation of long-term health and well-being. Proper nutrition supports growth, development, and disease prevention, while reliable information empowers individuals to make informed choices about what they eat.” Goodrich said.
Leave fad diets behind. The world is full of them, thriving off insecurity, sickness, and a lack of resources. Goodrich’s team helps their clients avoid harmful habits and mentalities, striving for sustainable practices that make their health goals attainable.
From Personalized Meal Planning to Corporate Wellness
The Meal Planning Program is a popular service for clients, which is expertly curated for a person’s diet prescription (that being their calories and macros). Thousands of recipes are available to create a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.
“The best thing is that the client is 100% in control of selecting and swapping out menu items.” said Goodrich.
Wellness isn’t just for the individual or just for families. It can also be for your business! Anderson’s Nutrition offers their Corporate Wellness initiative, which is designed to support healthier lifestyles in the workplace and through collaborative care.
“The Corporate Wellness program focuses on improving employee well-being through nutrition workshops, health screenings, and personalized counseling, aiming to boost productivity and reduce healthcare costs.” Goodrich explained.
Since individualized care is at the top of their priority list, the entire team at Anderon’s Nutrition brings a diverse range of specialities to the practice. Their areas of expertise include eating disorders, diabetes management, gastrointestinal health (such as IBS and IBD), cardiovascular wellness, food allergies and intolerances, pediatric and adolescent nutrition, and weight concerns.
In order to take ownership of their own health, clients are approached with empathy and understanding so they may flourish under respectful and effective nutrition care.
“We prioritize collaboration and education, providing trustworthy, science-backed guidance that respects each individual’s journey.” said Goodrich. “Our work is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves access to this care.”
Since Downingtown is a charming town, full of family friendly activities and modern amenities, Goodrich has several favorite spots for her family to enjoy. Community events, such as Downingtown Fall Fest and Good Neighbor Day, are standouts. Some of her favorite eateries include San Marco Pasta, Anthony’s Cucina, Station Taproom, and Evergreen Coffee.
In her free time, Nicole Goodrich enjoys hanging out with friends at local restaurants and attending her children’s sporting events. To take care of her health, she powers through HITT classes, spin classes, and hot yoga.
