Angel’s Retreat, a volunteer-run nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs, is bringing wagging tails and wet noses to Downingtown for a heartwarming adoption event.
The event will be held at Orvis in Downingtown on June 28 from 11 AM – 2 PM. The entire community is invited to come out and meet some of the adorable, adoptable dogs who are searching for their forever families.
“Our dogs are rescued from puppy mills, crowded city shelters, or owner surrenders. From newborn puppies to senior dogs to those with special medical or emotional needs, our dogs live in a home environment where they receive the love and medical care they deserve,” Angel’s Retreat shared via their website.
Angel’s Retreat operates out of West Chester, PA, and relies on a dedicated team of volunteers and foster families to care for their dogs. Their mission goes beyond basic shelter. Every dog receives individual attention, veterinary care, and behavioral support to prepare them for a successful transition into a permanent home.
This upcoming event at Orvis will feature a variety of dogs, including playful puppies, calm companions, and senior sweethearts. Volunteers and staff will be on-site to answer questions, explain the adoption process, and help potential adopters find the perfect match.
Prospective adopters are encouraged to visit www.angelsretreat.org and complete an adoption application before the event. Pre-approved applications ensure a smoother adoption experience and increase the chances of taking home a new furry family member on the spot.
Whether you’re ready to adopt or simply want to support a local cause, stop by to show your love for rescue animals… and maybe fall in love with your next best friend!
