Chester County Futures (CCF) marked a proud milestone on May 22 with a special Graduation Celebration for the Class of 2025, held at the Downingtown Country Club. The event recognized local high school seniors who successfully completed CCF’s Passport Program, an after-school initiative designed to support students through academic guidance and life-skills development.
The evening brought together students, families, program alumni, CCF board members, and community supporters in an atmosphere filled with pride and hope. Executive Director Katie Duffus addressed the crowd, reflecting on the meaning behind the milestone.
“This gathering is not merely a celebration of graduation; it’s a testament to the resilience and promise that our students embody,” said Duffus. “Each graduate represents a narrative of perseverance—one where challenges were met with courage and aspirations turned into tangible achievements.”
Among the evening’s highlights was the announcement of two Oxford High School students receiving the Rigg Family Scholarship to Elizabethtown College. The scholarship offers a full-ride to students who have completed the Passport Program, providing a life-changing opportunity to pursue higher education.
“Our mission extends beyond academics; it’s about crafting pathways toward futures filled with possibilities,” Duffus said. “Tonight serves not only as recognition but also as a launching pad for these young adults stepping boldly into their next chapters—be it college, trade schools or other pursuits.”
The ceremony served as both a celebration and a reminder of the impact of programs like Chester County Futures, which continue to shape the lives of students across the region by providing long-term mentorship, resources, and support.
