The Downingtown Area Chamber of Commerce is once again inviting the community to help shine a spotlight on the people and organizations that make the region stronger.
Nominations are now open for the Chamber’s 2026 Civic Awards, which honor a Business of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, and Citizen of the Year. The awards will be presented during the Chamber’s Annual Dinner, one of its most anticipated events of the year.
Each year, the Civic Awards recognize individuals and organizations whose commitment, leadership, and service have had a meaningful impact on the Downingtown area. This year, the Chamber is encouraging nominations from the entire community, emphasizing that Chamber membership is not required to nominate or be nominated.
Community members are invited to submit nominations in any of the three categories, helping ensure a broad and inclusive pool of candidates that reflects the depth and diversity of local contributions. The deadline to submit nominations is February 13.
The 2026 Civic Award recipients will be formally recognized at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner and Civic Awards celebration, scheduled for Wednesday, March 11. The event is open to the public and is widely regarded as the Chamber’s most popular gathering of the year, bringing together local business leaders, nonprofit organizations, residents, and community partners to celebrate excellence and civic engagement.
