It was a night filled with school spirit and a thrilling football victory as Downingtown High School West hosted its 2025 Homecoming football game. The Whippets took on West Chester Rustin in a nail-biting showdown, edging out their rivals with a final score of 20-19 in front of a packed home crowd.
The energy in the stadium was electric as students, families, and alumni gathered to cheer on their team. The game kept fans on the edge of their seats, with Downingtown West securing the win in the final moments, as well as a perfect kickoff to a memorable Homecoming weekend.
Adding to the excitement of the evening, senior Jenna D’Alesio was crowned Homecoming Queen, earning applause from the stands. Her crowning marked one of the many highlights in what will be remembered as a standout night for the Class of 2026.
The Homecoming festivities continued on Saturday with the “Night Under the Stars” dance, where students dressed to impress and danced the night away. The starry theme added a magical touch to the weekend, making this year’s Homecoming one for the books!
From a thrilling football win to a dazzling dance floor, Downingtown West’s Homecoming 2025 was a true celebration of school pride, unity, and unforgettable memories.
