For Robin Barnes Burdick, healing is not just a profession. It’s a mission rooted in decades of human service and personal experience. As the founder of Our Heals On Wheels (Our HOW) and Be U4U Yoga & Wellness, Barnes Burdick has transformed a background in case management into a deeply personalized mobile and studio wellness practice focused on compassion, accessibility, and holistic healing.
“Having over 20+ years in human service work I’ve had a front row seat to observing human suffering,” Burdick explained. “As a ‘helper’ personality type, even though I decided to retire from human services, I still wanted to be able to bring compassionate coaching, cheerleading, accountability to self, and yoga into the lives of those suffering.”
Her resume is robust, with experience as a Program Manager for Veterans, Senior Case Manager, Probation Client Case Manager, and Drug & Alcohol Prevention Coordinator. These roles provided “firsthand insight into the emotional and physical tolls of chronic stress, trauma, and disconnection.”
The healing practices she offers now stem from her own healing journey. “Yoga helped me as a teen. The mat was my safe place from my chaotic family life… so, like many, I went back to something I found useful, and immersed myself in yoga,” she said.
A Mobile Salt Room and More
Launched in spring 2024, the Our Heals On Wheels mobile unit was born out of necessity and creativity. “The mobile unit came first because of my HOA rules. I was unable to open a studio in my finished basement,” Barnes Burdick said.
She saw an opportunity to go mobile, similar to the pop-up salons and boutiques that gained popularity during the pandemic. With support from her husband, daughter, and friends, Burdick retrofitted a 6×12 trailer into a salt therapy room, complete with Himalayan salt flooring, lighted salt bricks, climate control, and a generator.
The Downingtown studio, which opened shortly after, offers a serene space for yoga, sound healing, meditation, coaching, and halotherapy. “It’s a serene, quiet, and calming space perfect for sound healing, meditation, coaching and classes.”

A Comprehensive Menu of Holistic Services
Barnes Burdick’s credentials are extensive: she’s a 500-hour Yoga Alliance-certified instructor, holds 95-hour children’s yoga certification, and is trained in everything from trauma-informed yoga to Christian Yoga, face and eye yoga, sound healing, Reiki, EFT & TFT tapping, and Thai hand reflexology.
“I’m AAAI certified for Stretching for Flexibility, Function & Strength which I incorporate into some classes,” she added. “I hold 2 coaching certifications: transformation coaching, and sobriety coaching.”
Additional services include:
- Halotherapy (salt therapy)
- Red light therapy
- Somatic healing
- Chakra balancing
- Pilates with props
- Sound healing for neuro-divergent children
“Clients should choose me not only for the wide range of services offered (like sound healing, halotherapy, red light therapy, and reflexology) but for the grounded, welcoming environment where healing is truly holistic: physical, emotional, and energetic.” Barnes Burdick said.

Healing with Personalized Support
Barnes Burdick’s approach is deeply client-centered. “Not everything works for everyone and it doesn’t mean something is wrong, it simply means we try another option,” she said. “Whether it’s yoga, Reiki, meditation, somatic work, or energy balancing, each client is met with care, safety, and respect for their individual journey.”
Yoga, in particular, is central to her philosophy. “Yoga offers far more than physical movement; it’s a pathway to balance, resilience, and overall well-being.”
Other practices, such as sound healing, offer unique therapeutic benefits. “These vibrations help calm the nervous system, quiet the mind, and encourage emotional release,” Barnes Burdick explained. “Many people describe feeling lighter and more balanced after a sound bath.”
Barnes Burdick also utilizes mind-body tools like EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and TFT (Thought Field Therapy). “Both techniques work by calming the nervous system and restoring energetic balance; making them perfect complements to other wellness practices.”
She’s especially passionate about teaching these tools to youth. “I love teaching EFT to kid. It’s something they can learn to do on their own and allows them to feel in control. It’s a great way to reregulate themselves!”

A Mission Rooted in Integrity, Compassion, and Access
“The Mission of Our HOW/Be U4U Yoga is to cultivate health and healing for all,” Barnes Burdick stated. Her services intentionally cater to “people who are often overlooked in mainstream wellness; those with chronic pain, disabilities, trauma histories, or emotional wounds.”
“My work is rooted in empathy, diversity, and a deep belief in each person’s capacity to heal,” she added. “I meet people where they are, and walk beside them with the tools, compassion, and guidance they need to thrive.”
Standard classes run 55 minutes, with sound healing sessions up to 90 minutes, and salt room sessions available in 30 or 45-minute increments. Private sessions and events are also available. Prices are not listed because private sessions/events are customizable.
As a former veterans program caseworker, Burdick has deep ties to the Downingtown area. “So many veterans and their families sought housing in Downingtown; wanting to be in a safe community… with a sense of belonging.”
Moving Forward While Giving Back
Barnes Burdick’s journey is a testament to resilience. “By the grace of God alone, I was able to pour my grief into something productive,” she shared, reflecting on completing her master’s degree shortly after the sudden loss of her sister. “It’s still an option, I love learning.”
Her advice to those seeking healing? “Life can be hard, relationships can be superficial, and people can judge harshly. Find your healing space at Our Heals On Wheels/Be U4U Yoga. A place of acceptance, meeting you where you are at during your present time of being.”
When she isn’t working, Robin Barnes Burdick enjoys spending time her with adult children and grandchildren, relaxing on the beach, and connecting with nature.
