Calling all witches, wizards & muggles!
Join Downingtown Library for a magical celebration of The Boy Who Lived at their Harry Potter Birthday Party event! Enjoy games, crafts, snacks, activities, and of course… Harry’s “Happee Birthdae” cake! The event is on July 31, from 1 – 4 PM.
Children (and adults!) are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character or come decked out in Harry Potter gear and accessories to fully immerse yourself in this Wizarding World event.
Regular library services will be closed during the celebration. While registration is not necessary to attend Harry Potter’s birthday party, there is an additional activity that does require signing up.
Make your own wand! There will be four wand-making sessions, each lasting a half hour each. All supplies will be provided and when the event is over, you’ll be able to take home your very own, personalized wand. Registration can be found on Downingtown Library’s website. No walk-ins will be accepted for wand-making sessions.
Lastly, Miss Rebecca will be dressed as the Golden Snitch! Are you as quick as Harry Potter on his Firebolt? Will you be able to catch the snitch for a picture?
