Sundays will soon become every seafood lover’s favorite day of the week. R Five Wines is introducing a new special – Oyster Sundays!
The Napa Valley-inspired restaurant first unveiled this aquatic surprise on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Each Sunday, guests can enjoy fresh shucked oysters on a half shell and a crisp, smooth glass of wine.
This week, the oyster selection were East Beach Blonds, which hailed from Rhode Island. The beach blonds are perfectly salty, finishing with a bread and butter taste. The small-to-medium sized slurps are expertly paired with a glass of R Fives Wines’ Chenin Blanc from Clarksburg. This California wine “has bright citrus notes on the nose, followed with hints of lemon curd and well balanced acidity.”
For every half-dozen oysters ordered, you will receive a $10 glass of Chenin Blanc. Two glasses with a full dozen oysters!
