Rags 2 Riches Animal Rescue is hosting their first annual golf outing at Downingtown Country Club.
The rescue, which is located in Delaware County, is a no-kill shelter that supports all breeds. The organization strives to act as a safe haven for abandoned and abused animals throughout the surrounding region.
On April 28, they will unveil the inaugural “Puttin’ Fore Paws” event, which will support their continued rescue work.
Golfers (and dinner guests!) can enjoy an afternoon at the stunning Downingtown Country Club. The premier course was designed by George Fazio, complete with 18-holes, subtle landscapes, and rolling fairways. It’s perfect for golfers of any skillset, boasting its straightforward and fair approach to the dynamic sport.
Registration and bag drop-off opens at 12 PM and the outing will kick-off with a shotgun start at 1 PM. Food and beverage stations will be located throughout the course, including beer, water, soda, pretzels, and more!
After a riveting day on the green, join Rags 2 Riches Animals Rescue inside the club for an expertly cooked meal.
Passed hors d’oeuvres will circulate around the room, starting at 5:30 PM, as golfers start to filter into the club. For those who aren’t interested in golf, they can purchase a dinner-only tickets at a lower price point.
Once everyone has arrived, the dinner buffet will begin. Meal choices include:
- Grilled Chicken with Shiitake Mushrooms, Asparagus, Roasted Peppers and Lemon
- Peppercorn Marinated Flank Steak with Balsamic Garlic Demi Glaze
- Cheese Tortellini with Roasted Tomatoes in Pesto Cream Sauce
The dinner will also feature a two-hour open bar, 50/50, and raffles.
