The Borough Presents: March Madness Comedy Show

Feb 11, 2026 | Downtown, Events

While college basketball may dominate headlines in March, a different kind of madness is coming to Downingtown this spring — the kind that will make you laugh out loud.

The Borough, together with Icon411, will host its March Madness Comedy Show on Thursday, March 19, 2026, bringing together a dynamic lineup of regional and national talent for an evening of high-energy stand-up. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the show begins at 7:30 PM.

Headlining the night is Shawn Harvey, a Bronx-bred, Pennsylvania-based comedian known for his animated storytelling, sharp crowd work, and unapologetically honest humor. Harvey has performed on stages across the country, from New York comedy clubs and Poconos resorts to live TV tapings, including appearances on platforms such as BRIC TV’s “Laffaholics Comedy.” He is also the host of “The Shawn Harvey Morning Show featuring The Wake-Up Team,” where his candid takes have built a loyal following.

Joining Harvey are featured comedians Dana Charitonchick and Kyle Ziegler.

Charitonchick, a Philadelphia-area stand-up and sketch writer, has quickly made a name for herself with her sharp observations and relatable storytelling. Since beginning her stand-up career in 2021, she has moved from outdoor suburban mics to regular appearances on regional stages. Her comedy — often centered on dating, identity, and everyday chaos — strikes a balance between vulnerable and biting. She also produces sketch content under the banner “Dana Jokes Around,” expanding her growing online presence.

Ziegler, a Lancaster-based comedian and traveling salesman, brings a unique perspective shaped by years on the trade show circuit. After more than a decade using humor to win over clients nationwide, he transitioned to stand-up in 2018 and has since performed in at least 17 states. His affable, conversational style — often rooted in marriage, work life, and life on the road — has earned him spots in competitions such as Philly’s Phunniest at Helium Comedy Club and Harrisburg’s Hilarious at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone.

Hosting the evening is Philadelphia’s own Ms. Darkchild, also known as Anissa Bane. A veteran of the comedy scene since 1999, she began hosting in 2001 and has earned the nickname “The Princess of Comedy.” Known for her unpredictable energy and commanding stage presence, Ms. Darkchild promises to keep the crowd engaged from the first introduction to the final punchline.

Tickets for the March Madness Comedy Show are $25 and are available through Eventbrite.
